UPI, linked to Airtel Payments Bank, will be beneficial
Airtel Payments Bank has said on Sunday that it has become India’s first payment bank to integrate the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) on its digital platform. In a statement, the company said that in view of the customer’s choice and convenience, it will connect them with digital payment to online and offline merchants and help in transferring money in any bank account in India.
CEO Shashi Arora, and MD of Airtel Payments Bank, said that “With this, all our 20-million bank customers will be able to make their personal UPI handles on the Airtel app and they will be able to make digital payments in both offline and online places. Our bank customers will be able to link their bank accounts on Bhima App and can pay with the UPI.
Dilip Asbe, Chief Operating Officer of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said, Payment banks are capable of facilitating dispatch and payment on a large user base, especially in areas where services are not reaching, according to RBI’s approach. “Dilip said,” We are happy to bring the Airtel Payment Bank on the BHIM / UPI platform. “
He said, ‘Through this cooperation, we expect a significant increase in digital transactions in place of unused merchant locations and individual-person payments.’
It has been stated in the statement that in the UPA-based payment and transfer, customers will not be required to give their bank details in order to pay and that they can easily identify themselves and remember this data in the wake of data security.
The customer can connect any Airtel Payment Bank Savings Account to any of the U.I.I. Handles with famous apps like Bhim or other banks’ U.P.I.
