Facebook launches standalone VR Headset Oculus Go
Facebook launched some new hardware products at the Oculus Connect 4 event. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has launched a standalone virtual reality headset Oculus Go during this event. Oculus is a virtual reality-based company that Facebook has acquired.
The Oculus Go headset is quite different from another virtual reality headset. The second VR headset has to connect to the smartphone. During this event, Mark Zuckerberg told about two types of VR headset and said that they are quite expensive, but we have to bring a good quality VR headset in the budget.
Mark Zuckerberg has targeted to bring 1 billion users on virtual reality. He said that it will be made so cheap so that it can reach as many people as possible. In this sequence, he launched Oculus Go of 199 dollars (about 13 thousand rupees). Its specialty is that there are built-in speakers in it too. Even if you did not have a headphone, you can still listen to the audio of the VR content.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, to use this VR, neither you will need to connect it to the smartphone nor from the computer.
Facebook’s Virtual Reality Department (Oculus) Head Hugo Barra said during this time that it is the easiest way to go virtual virtuality. It has a lens and has a screen resolution of 2560X1440. It has built-in speakers, that is, no headphones can be used.
A remote controller with the VR headset will be given that will be similar to the Gear VR. Developers will get the Oculus Go Developer Kit from November. It will be sold from the beginning of next year.
Significantly, Facebook is fast strive to increase virtual reality business. In this order, the company has invested a lot of money in it. The company had bought Oculus $2 Billion, 3 years ago. But the company does not seem to have any special advantage till now because no product of Oculus has broken records yet.
There is also a factor that now mobile companies are giving features of augmented reality and virtual reality, and such content has started to be created. Therefore, it can be expected that in the next 10 years Facebook will generate much revenue from this.
