New Delhi: Today Ganapati festival, which lasted for the last 11 days, on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi has ended with Ganesh immersion. A crowd of devotees gathered to immerse Ganesh statues in Yamuna river. Beginning in the afternoon, the immersion turned into a huge celebration in the evening. A huge crowd of Ganesh devotees gathered at the ITO, Geeta Colony Putsha, Old Iron Bridge, ISBT Kashmiri Gate on the Yamuna river bridges.
Felt 12 kilometer long jam
Ganesh devotees reached different banks of Yamuna river to immerse the statues of their own Ganesh with immortality. Playing Holly Holi, dancing on the tune of music, the devotees were making their promise to come to him early in the coming year. Although the Delhi administration had made extensive arrangements for the Visarjan festival, all the arrangements for the crowd of devotees remained untouched. There was a lot of jam in many places in Delhi. On the other hand, due to the Ganesh immersion and the people coming out of the office, there was a long line of vehicles on the roads.
From Moolchand Flyover to India Gate and ITO to Anganwihar and Noida, many people have been trapped in their vehicles for several hours.
